Microsoft unveils new Windows Live Messenger–integrating Facebook & Social Media
On April 28th Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer previews the new Windows Live Messenger for students at the Universidade de Sao Paulo.
The new messenger is making it much seamless for people to stay connected with their friends and family through a unified interface which not only provide traditional messenger functionality but connects social media like facebook to the same screen.
The new messenger will improve the personal interactions with your close friends, so that you can continue to connect in even richer ways with the people you care about most.
It will bringtogether the most complete picture of what your friends are doing across your social networks and other sharing sites, and then helping you see at a glance what your favorite people are doing, wherever they’re doing it. This includes comprehensive integration with Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, and a wide range of other sharing sites.
Microsoft is also bringing Messenger with you to Hotmail, the web, and your phone. While the Windows PC is the best way to experience Messenger, people spend a lot of time in web-based email, on their mobile phone, and browsing other websites. So Messenger is integrated right into Hotmail.
There are plans to also enable facebook chat from within messenger client which means users will be able to send IM chat to all facebook friends from live messenger.
The new messenger will also have High-definition video chat. Meaningful conversations are enhanced by allowing you to see and hear your friends. Helping you experience video chats so you can share photos while chatting and see your friends’ reactions in real time and in full screen.
Through new functionality of Video message, when your friends are offline, messenger will enable you to leave them a video message, similar to a voicemail but as a quick video that will be waiting for them when they sign in.
All in all the New Windows Live Messenger will bring a unique experience through which users will be able to always stay in touch with their loved ones.
