MPI_Comm_accept function

Accept a request to form a new intercommunicator.

Syntax

int MPIAPI MPI_Comm_accept(
  _In_  char     *port_name,
        MPI_Info info,
        int      root,
        MPI_Comm comm,
  _Out_ MPI_Comm *newcomm
);

Parameters

• port_name [in]
  Port name, used only on root.

• info
  Implementation-dependent information.

• root
  Rank in comm of root node.

• comm
  Intracommunicator over which call is collective.

• newcomm [out]
  Intercommunicator with client as remote group.

Return value

Returns MPI_SUCCESS on success. Otherwise, the return value is an error code.

In Fortran, the return value is stored in the IERROR parameter.
