MPI_Send_init function

Create a persistent request for a standard send.

Syntax

int MPIAPI MPI_Send_init(
  _In_  void         *buf,
        int          count,
        MPI_Datatype datatype,
        int          dest,
        int          tag,
        MPI_Comm     comm,
  _Out_ MPI_Request  *request
);

Parameters

• buf [in]
  Initial address of send buffer.

• count
  Number of elements sent.

• datatype
  Type of each element.

• dest
  Rank of destination.

• tag
  Message tag.

• comm
  Communicator.

• request [out]
  Communication request.

Return value

Returns MPI_SUCCESS on success. Otherwise, the return value is an error code.

In Fortran, the return value is stored in the IERROR parameter.
