Implement a security extension

Microsoft Windows Authentication is the primary system for securing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services. In certain cases, however, you might need to extend the Reporting Services security system to accommodate custom security in your enterprise. You can do this using the development platform provided by the Reporting Services API. This section presents an overview of security extensions in Reporting Services.
