IDWriteFontFaceReference::EnqueueCharacterDownloadRequest method (dwrite_3.h)

Adds a request to the font download queue (IDWriteFontDownloadQueue).

Syntax

HRESULT EnqueueCharacterDownloadRequest(
  [in] WCHAR const *characters,
       UINT32      characterCount
);

Parameters

[in] characters

Type: const WCHAR*

Array of characters to download.

characterCount

Type: UINT32

The number of elements in the character array.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Remarks

Downloading a character involves downloading every glyph it depends on directly or indirectly, via font tables (cmap, GSUB, COLR, glyf).
