I’m delighted to announce that we have launched the new Microsoft UK homepage.
98% of visitors to our UK website view the UK homepage. This new homepage is a step in enabling and encouraging customers to manage their relationship with Microsoft:
- It enables us to deliver targeted content and campaigns to our broad customer segments. Customer can use the tabs at the top of the page to select the right view for them. This positions us as a company that wants to engage with our customers.
- It includes a completely new function named My Microsoft (at the top right of the page), encouraging customers to sign in, profile themselves, and have the website respond to them personally by using their name, showing newsletters they’ve signed up to, and content and links they may be interested in (lots more to come in this space)
- Customers can use My Microsoft to sign in, but then change their view using the tabs, so an IT Director who wants Xbox information today can do so easily.
We ran loads of scenario and usability testing to get it to this point, and are really excited to get feedback...any views and feeback you might have would be great hear!
It is a small but exciting step for us...watch out for developments here.
