Last night the Imagine Cup students attended a profound party on Ellis Island, where the sponsor Microsoft had rented the entire island for this party. Unlike other Imagine Cup parties in the past, this one was quite fun, but with a difference, on one side there was the New York skyline and on the other side there was Statue of Liberty.
Like the immigrants from an earlier times the students, to me, were looking to the future for their family now and their families in the future. The world is a larger place today then it was in the era of the Ellis Island immigration, and the Imagine Cup competitors have demonstrated that they understand what the future of the technology will be.
It was an honor to attend this party with the competitors and their mentors.
