EventSource 类旨在由用户类继承,该类提供用于事件跟踪的特定事件。 调用 EventSource.WriteEvent 这些方法来记录事件。

约定

EventSource-derived 类应遵循以下约定:

  • 用户定义的类应实现单一实例模式。 单一实例传统上命名 Log。 通过扩展,用户不应手动调用 IDisposable.Dispose ,并允许运行时在托管代码执行结束时清理单一实例。
  • 用户定义派生类应标记为 sealed ,除非它实现了“高级用法”部分中讨论的高级“实用工具 EventSource”配置。
  • 在执行与触发事件相关的任何资源密集型工作之前调用 IsEnabled()
  • 可以通过使用具有命名模式<EventName>Start<EventName>Stop的后续事件 ID 声明两个事件方法来隐式创建EventTask对象。 这些事件 必须在 类定义中彼此旁边声明,并且 <EventName>Start 该方法 必须 首先出现。

  • 将昂贵的事件与 EventKeywords using EventAttribute相关联。 此模式允许用户 EventSource 选择退出这些昂贵的操作。

自描述(跟踪日志记录)与清单事件格式

EventSource 可以根据所使用的构造函数或设置 EventSourceOptions哪些标志,配置为两种不同的模式。

从历史上看,这两种格式派生自 Windows 事件跟踪(ETW)使用的两种格式。 虽然这两种模式不会影响使用 Windows 事件跟踪(ETW)或基于 EventPipe 的侦听器的能力,但它们确实会以不同的方式为事件生成元数据。

默认事件格式是 EtwManifestEventFormat,如果未指定 EventSourceSettings,则设置此格式。 基于 EventSource 清单的对象生成一个 XML 文档,该文档表示初始化时在类上定义的事件。 这需要 EventSource 反映自身以生成提供程序和事件元数据。

若要使用自描述(tracelogging)事件格式,请使用EventSource(String)构造函数、EventSource(String, EventSourceSettings)构造函数或设置EtwSelfDescribingEventFormat标志来EventSourceSettings构造。EventSource 自描述源在初始化时生成最少的提供程序元数据,仅在调用时 Write(String) 生成事件元数据。

实际上,这些事件格式设置仅影响基于 Windows 事件跟踪的读取器的使用情况(ETW)。 但是,由于反射和生成元数据所需的时间,它们对初始化时间和每事件写入时间的影响很小。

高级用法

传统上,用户定义 EventSource 对象需要直接从 EventSource. 但是,对于高级方案,可以创建 abstractEventSource 对象,称为 实用工具源,并实现接口。 使用其中一种或两种技术,可以在不同的派生源之间共享代码。
