ASP.NET 設定檔用於儲存及檢索使用者設定，儲存在資料庫等資料來源中。使用者設定檔是利用 Profile 目前 HttpContext的屬性存取的。房況資訊與房產價值由房況提供者管理。

使用者設定檔提供者用於儲存和檢索使用者設定檔中的屬性。 .NET Framework 包含一個 SqlProfileProvider 類別，將使用者設定檔屬性儲存在 SQL Server 資料庫中。機器設定中指定一個 SqlProfileProvider 名為 AspNetSqlProvider 實例的預設設定檔提供者。實 AspNetSqlProvider 例會連接到本地網頁伺服器上的 SQL Server 資料庫。你可以透過提供者的設定元素和defaultProvider設定檔元素的屬性，指定SqlProfileProvider一個連接另一個 SQL Server 的預設設定檔提供者，如下範例所示。
