Administrator Workflow: Creating a Program
Within Configuration Manager 2007, programs contain the applications, tools, or commands being delivered to clients. While packages provide a wrapper for the software, dictating how the software will be passed between site servers and distribution points, programs provide a wrapper for the software, telling the clients themselves how the application should interface and run on those computers.
The following flowchart provides a high level visual workflow for the steps for creating a program in Configuration Manager, and the links at the end of this document provide detailed information about the process.
