Dear YUSUF HUSSEIN SIDALI

Welcome! Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum with your issue.

Based on the information you provided, I understand you're experiencing a frustrating blank/white screen error when trying to sign into your Microsoft work or school account on an Android device. I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with this.

This problem is often related to corrupted app cache, network issues, or outdated core Android components. You can usually resolve the blank/white screen error by performing the following common troubleshooting steps:

  1. Clear Microsoft App Cache and Data
  • Go to Settings on your Android phone.
  • Navigate to Apps or Application Manager.
  • Find and select the Microsoft application that is giving you trouble (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Select Storage.
  • Perform Clear Cache and then Clear Data (or Clear Storage). Note: This action will reset the app to its default state, and you will need to sign in again.
  • Restart the app and attempt to sign in.
  1. Update Android System Webview and Chrome Browser: Microsoft apps often rely on Android System Webview to display the sign-in page. If this component is outdated, the screen may appear blank.
  • Open the Google Play Store.
  • Search for Android System Webview and Google Chrome.
  • Ensure both applications are updated to the latest version.

 3. Check Connection and Restart Device

  • Switch Networks: If you're on Wi-Fi, try switching to mobile data (4G/5G) and vice versa. Ensure your connection is stable.
  • Restart Device: Completely turn off your Android phone, wait about 30 seconds, and turn it back on. Then, try signing in again.

 4. Uninstall and Reinstall the App

If clearing the cache doesn't work, a fresh installation may resolve any corrupted installation files.

  • Uninstall the problematic Microsoft app from your phone.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Go to the Google Play Store and reinstall the app.
  • Attempt to sign in with your work or school account.

To help me clarify the issue further and provide you with the best possible solution, could you please tell us which specific Microsoft application you are trying to sign into (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Word, or another app)? Knowing the exact application will allow us to suggest more precise troubleshooting steps.

I hope these initial steps help, and I look forward to your detailed response so we can get this sorted out for you.
Thank you!

Also had this issue 2 days ago- recent password reset. Initially clicked on sign in button when account was in outlook but it would not load. Ended up deleting account from outlook then attempting to re-add it again after completing all the steps as outlined above. Only issue on Outlook app on android(have been able to get into email on desktop and via gmail). outlook recognises email when click add account but then loads through to stick on a blank white screen with no buttons/options to press or input password for log in details.

I am currently having the same issues. I have the S25 Ultra, and I am trying to use Outlook. Outlook was working until last week. Last week it stopped syncing with the mail server. I have cleared cache, data and deleted and reinstalled the app. Once I deleted the app and needed to reset up the account it now just gives me a white screen and doesn't appear to complete the set-up.
