Converting MS Planner Plan from Basic to Premium

I am attempting to upgrade my Planner Plan from basic to premium. In the past I could see three dots at the top of my Planner Plan but it no longer appears. When referencing the article below it states that this option to upgrade should reside under the three dots. How can I upgrade my plan from basic to premium without that option? This plan was created within the Planner environment and is on M365 shared group.

Hi @Austin Wheeler,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue where the option to upgrade your Microsoft Planner plan from Basic to Premium no longer appears in the usual location (the three-dot menu) in Microsoft Teams.

After testing in my environment, I can still see the three-dot menu in the web interface:

If you don’t see this option in Microsoft Teams, try opening the same plan in Planner on the web, as premium features often show up there first.

If premium views are still missing, confirm with your IT department that you have a license eligible for Planner Premium (such as Planner Plan 1, Planner and Project Plan 3, or Planner and Project Plan 5). Basic licenses allow viewing but not premium editing.

For your reference: Learn about Planner subscriptions.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.
