Následující příklad ukazuje, jak použít Columns vlastnost. V tomto příkladu byly šablony stránky Dynamické data zkopírovány do složky \DynamicData\CustomPages\ProductDescriptions, která poskytuje vlastní zobrazení tabulky ProductDescription databáze AdventureWorksLT. Kód souboru Insert.aspx se změní tak, aby se přidala obslužná rutina OnDataBound události s názvem DetailsView1_DataBound. V obslužné rutině FindMetaTable události se metoda používá k vyhledání meta tabulky. Vlastnost Columns slouží k zobrazení počtu sloupců v tabulce.
