abstract member ReadLine : Org.Apache.Http.Util.CharArrayBuffer -> int

Parameters

buffer
CharArrayBuffer

The character buffer to which the line is appended, without its CR and LF terminators.

Returns

The line length reported by the buffer, excluding CR and LF, or -1 if the end of the stream is reached before any line data is read.

Attributes

Exceptions

An I/O error occurs, or the configured maximum line length is exceeded.

Remarks

The Android implementation reports the number of encoded bytes in the line, not necessarily the number of decoded characters appended to buffer. These counts can differ for a non-ASCII character set. Existing characters in buffer are retained.
