Ovládací ObjectDataSource prvek podporuje volitelnou zásadu vypršení platnosti, která je založená na objektu SqlCacheDependency pro mezipaměť dat (služba musí být nakonfigurovaná pro databázový server).
SQL Server podporuje dva mechanismy pro zneplatnění mezipaměti: dotazování a oznamování. Každý mechanismus má pro SqlCacheDependency objekt jinou syntaxi.
Podporuje ObjectDataSource pouze dotazování. Řetězec SqlCacheDependency se používá k vytvoření objektu SqlDependency , který je předán konstruktoru DbCommand před spuštěním Select metody. Řetězec SqlCacheDependency identifikuje databáze a tabulky podle stejného formátu, který používá direktiva @ Page
, kde první částí řetězce je připojovací řetězec k databázi SQL Serveru, následovaný oddělovačem dvojtečky a nakonec názvem databázové tabulky (například "connectionstring1:table1"
