Následující příklad kódu zobrazí dva formuláře a ukončí aplikaci při zavření obou formulářů. Při spuštění a ukončení aplikace se zapamatuje pozice každého formuláře. I když tento příklad ukazuje použití UserAppDataPath vlastnosti k uložení dat aplikace pro uživatele, LocalUserAppDataPath lze místo toho použít .

Třída MyApplicationContext dědí z ApplicationContext a sleduje, když je každý formulář zavřen, a opustí aktuální vlákno, když jsou oba. Třída ukládá pozice jednotlivých formulářů pro uživatele. Data umístění formuláře jsou uložena v souboru s názvem Appdata.txt , který je vytvořen v umístění určeném nástrojem UserAppDataPath. Místní uživatel je ten, jehož profil uživatele je uložen v systému, ke kterému se uživatel přihlásil. Pokud cesta neexistuje, vytvoří se v následujícím formátu:

Základní cesta\CompanyName\ProductName\ProductVersion

Typická základní cesta je C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data. Tato cesta se ale bude lišit, pokud je aplikace model Windows Forms nasazena pomocí Technologie ClickOnce.
