Aby bylo možné získat platnou hodnotu z této vlastnosti, musí objekt, který ji volá, obsahovat nebo být obsažen v ovládacím prvku, který volá. Pokud se jeden formulář pokusí volat vlastnosti jiného formuláře ActiveControl , obdrží nedefinovanou hodnotu.
