Následující příklad kódu ukazuje, jak změnit stav sbalení tak TreeView , aby byly viditelné všechny zaškrtnuté uzly. Nejprve se rozbalí všechny uzly a přidá se obslužná rutina BeforeCollapse události. Dále jsou všechny uzly sbalené. Obslužná rutina BeforeCollapse události určuje, jestli daný uzel obsahuje podřízené uzly, které jsou kontrolovány. Pokud uzel zkontroloval podřízené položky, sbalení se pro tento uzel zruší. Pokud chcete povolit sbalení standardního uzlu při kliknutí na znaménko minus vedle uzlu, BeforeCollapse obslužná rutina události se pak odebere.
