Print customer statements

Businesses send customer statements to customers to inform them of balances and open entries, like invoices, credit memos, and payments.

To print a customer statement, follow these steps:

  1. Open the customer list and select the customer for which you want to print a statement.

  2. Select Report > Statement.

  3. On the Options FastTab of the statement request page, enter the following details:

    • Start date and end date

    • Statement Style:

      • Balance: Gives customers an overview of outstanding amounts and a reminder to pay amounts that are overdue.

      • Open Items: Provides options what to include in regards to open items.

        1. Shows only open entries within the specified date range.

        2. Shows a balance for open entries before the start date.

        3. Ignores entries that have a posting date that's after the ending date.

      • Select the customers and entries you want to include.

      • In the Aging Band section, specify if you want to use an aging band. An aging band provides a summary, based on the Aging Band Period Length and Aging Band by fields.

  4. On the Output Options FastTab you can select one of the following output options: Print, Preview, Word, PDF, Email, XML.

  5. On the Filter: Customer FastTab, you can specify for which customers you would like to print statements.

  6. Select OK to create the customer statements.
