protected:
virtual void OnItemDeleting(System::Web::UI::WebControls::FormViewDeleteEventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnItemDeleting (System.Web.UI.WebControls.FormViewDeleteEventArgs e);
abstract member OnItemDeleting : System.Web.UI.WebControls.FormViewDeleteEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnItemDeleting : System.Web.UI.WebControls.FormViewDeleteEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnItemDeleting (e As FormViewDeleteEventArgs)
Parameters
A FormViewDeleteEventArgs that contains the event data.
Exceptions
This method is called when the FormView control is not bound to a data source control, the user did not cancel the delete operation, and an event handler is not registered for the event.
Remarks
The OnItemDeleting method is called by the FormView control to raise the ItemDeleting event. It is generally used by control developers when extending the FormView class.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.
The OnItemDeleting method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors
When overriding OnItemDeleting(FormViewDeleteEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnItemDeleting(FormViewDeleteEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
