To unblock your Hotmail account, you can follow these steps:

  1. Wait for 24 Hours: If your account has been temporarily blocked due to multiple incorrect login attempts, it may be best to wait for 24 hours before trying to log in again. Avoid making further login attempts during this period.
  2. Use Alternate Sign-In Methods: If available, try to use another sign-in method on the password page. This could include options like email verification or security questions.
  3. Account Recovery Form: Since you've already filled out the account recovery form, ensure that you provide as much accurate information as possible to verify your identity. If the information was insufficient, you might need to try again with more details.
  4. Contact Microsoft Support: If the above steps do not work, you can contact Microsoft Support directly for assistance. You can sign in with any account to contact support or create a new account if necessary. Follow these steps:
    • Go to the Microsoft Support page.
    • Type "recover account" in the search bar.
    • Click on the option to contact support.
  5. Check for Notifications: If your account is blocked due to suspicious activity, you may receive notifications via email or on the Microsoft account page regarding the status of your account.

If you continue to experience issues, please ensure that you provide all necessary information to Microsoft Support to help them assist you effectively.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Since you do not have another linked verification method for a password reset aside from your landline number, I'm afraid the only way to recover/unblock the account is through the account recovery web form: https://account.live.com/acsr

Important: If you have an active 2FA, ACSR will inform you that your recovery request will be ignored. If you only receive a message that the recovery request is either successful or indicates insufficient information, this means that 2FA is disabled.

You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft, and you can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

If your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted, please review this link for tips on improving your chances of a successful recovery: https://support.microsoft.com/office/dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53

Please be advised that Microsoft Support will not be able to assist you with manual recovery, unblocking, and escalation for this case, as stated in this article, that they are not permitted to send password resets, access, or even change any details on the account:

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
