The teams room is showing this error "The room account couldn't be authenticated. This could be due to a device or network problem, or Teams could be experiencing a technical issue.

This issue can be temporarily resolved by rebooting but will appear again within 48hrs.

Clearing the cache did not help.

Date and time is correctly set in MTR device.

Meetings are working fine, but it is just that the error is appearing in the screen. Kindly help in getting this fixed.

Note : Above available, all day. We see "Sync failed".

    Hello @Sai krishna

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, the issue is almost certainly related to a resource account sign‑in problem or Teams Rooms service health rather than a device hardware fault.

For my recommendation, kindly follow these steps to check if it could resolve the issue:

    1. Verify the Room Resource Account Status

    Kindly check these following:

    • The room account password is set to never expire
    • MFA is off for the room account
    • No CA rules block “non‑compliant devices”
    • Correct MTR license is assigned (Basic or Pro)
    1. Check for Exchange or Teams Sign‑In Failures in Background
    • Navigate to Microsoft Admin Center > Service Health > Overview and look specifically at these components if there is an active issue that Microsoft is working on:
      • Sign‑in (Teams)
      • Sign‑in (Exchange)
      • Resource account health
Note: A “Sync Failed” message can also appear if the Exchange sign‑in fails, but Teams meetings still function.
