Certificates after completing Microsoft-related courses can come from different systems, and the way to get them depends on what was completed.
- Microsoft Learn training modules and learning paths
- Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile used for the training.
- Go to the Profile → Credentials or Achievements area to see completed modules and learning paths.
- If a program issues badges (for example, Viva Glint), follow the program’s specific steps (such as completing a Statement of Completion form) to trigger badge issuance.
- Microsoft Essentials Professional Certificates (via LinkedIn Learning)
- Complete the full LinkedIn Learning path for the chosen Microsoft Essentials Professional Certificate (for example, Azure AI Essentials or Security Essentials).
- After finishing the path, access and pass the free, on-demand summative assessment on LinkedIn; no scheduling is required.
- Passing the assessment earns the Microsoft Essentials Professional Certificate, which can then be shared on professional networks or added to a résumé.
- Microsoft certification exams (AZ‑900, AZ‑104, etc.)
- After passing an exam, the certification and its downloadable certificate should appear under the Certifications section of the Microsoft Learn profile.
- If the certificate does not appear or is incorrect, open a ticket with Microsoft Credentials Support using the dedicated support link so the certification team can correct or publish the certificate.
- For exam-delivery issues (for example, Pearson VUE), contact the exam provider’s support as indicated in the guidance.
- Older or missing course certificates
- If a certificate from past training (for example, from 2021) is not visible under the Certifications or Achievements sections, submit a support request to the Microsoft credentials/support channel so they can investigate and restore access if possible.
- Special programs (for example, Viva Glint badging)
- Create or sign in to a Microsoft Learn profile.
- Complete the required Viva Glint training modules while signed in.
- Fill out the Statement of Completion form linked at the end of the required module.
- Viva Glint verifies completion and issues a Credly badge to the work email provided; accept it via a Credly account and then share it (for example, on LinkedIn).
In summary, to get a certificate after completing a course, ensure the course or program is tied to a Microsoft Learn or LinkedIn Learning credential, complete all required modules and any final assessment or form, then retrieve or verify the certificate in the appropriate profile (Microsoft Learn, LinkedIn Learning, or Credly). If the certificate is missing, use the Microsoft Credentials Support channel to resolve it.
