Hello,

I'm Avaya specialist who would like to setup the Avaya Calling for MS Teams with IP Office.

Unfortunatelly Avaya Calling app is not available in MS Teams app store.

This application is not available on for Poland / Europe area or there is a different reason why it's not available?

Thank you for a very quick reply.

Direct Routing - is method which I also would like to test, but I would like to start with sollution where SBC is not needed. Where Teams reach Avaya IPO over local network and routes their external PSTN calls through the IP Office.

So Avaya Calling scenario from bellow document

Calling Plan is a service where Microsoft is a calling provider,

I'm looking for an option to connect Teams to PBX Avaya IPO 500 where carrier (E1/T1 lines and SIP) are available. So Calling Plan from MS is not needed. I would like to just use MS Teams as a softphone application for Avaya PBX.

Besides I suppose that calling plan is not supported in Poland.

    Hello @Michał Paderewski !

For Teams Integration with PBX there specific ways to do that

    • Phone System with Calling Plan
    • Phone System with your own PSTN carrier with Operator Connect
    • Phone System with your own PSTN mobile carrier with Teams Phone Mobile
    • Phone System with your own PSTN carrier with Direct Routing
    • A combination solution that uses Phone System with Calling Plan, Phone System with Operator Connect, and/or Phone System with Direct Routing

Phone System is Microsoft's technology for enabling call control and Private Branch Exchange (PBX) capabilities in the Microsoft 365 cloud with Microsoft Teams.

Phone System works with Teams clients and certified devices. Phone System allows you to replace your existing PBX system with a set of features directly delivered from Microsoft 365.

Calls between users in your organization are handled internally within Phone System, and never go to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)--thereby removing long-distance costs on internal calls.

For making external calls, Phone System provides add-on options for connecting to the PSTN. For more information about voice solutions and PSTN connectivity options, see Plan your Teams voice solution and Connect to the PSTN.

For external calling, Phone System can be connected to the PSTN in one of several ways:

    ·         Purchase a Microsoft Calling Plan (domestic or domestic and international). Microsoft Calling Plan is an all-in-the-cloud solution with Microsoft as your PSTN carrier. For more information, see Phone System and Calling Plans.

    ·         Use your existing telephony infrastructure for on-premises PSTN connectivity.

You can connect your on-premises telephony infrastructure to Phone System by using Operator Connect or Direct Routing.

Microsoft options for making external calls to the PSTN include:

    ·         Microsoft Calling Plan. An all-in-the-cloud solution with Microsoft as your PSTN carrier. If you choose Microsoft Calling Plan as your connectivity option, you have a choice of Calling Plan options, including Domestic, International, and Pay-as-you-go plans.

    ·         Operator Connect. If your existing carrier participates in the Microsoft Operator Connect program, they can manage PSTN calling for you.

    ·         Teams Phone Mobile. If your existing carrier participates in the Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile program, they can manage the service for using SIM-enabled mobile phone numbers with Teams.

    ·         Direct Routing. This option lets you use your own PSTN carrier by connecting your SBCs to Phone System.

For more information about all connectivity options and which one is the best solution for your organization, see PSTN connectivity options and Voice and PSTN connectivity license options

So to sum it up ! And trust me i have been very engaged into Teams Calling

    Calling Plans

    Feature Details
Calling Plans are available to purchase? Yes
Minutes available for Calling Plans. There are five plan options available per calendar month: Pay-As-You-Go Calling Plan 120 minutes Domestic Calling Plan 1200 minutes Domestic Calling Plan International Calling Plan: 1200 minutes of domestic or 600 minutes of international calling (whichever is reached first in the calendar month)
Can make outbound calls to premium numbers? Not supported at this time.
Can make outbound calls to? To 196 countries or regions, including these.

The SBC option is also available and there are Software Solutions like call2teams , ehich support PBX integration

But Poland support Calling Plans , so great ! You can go with the AVAYA link

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you for reply.

I will need some time to understand more all of this options.

So will back to you in couple of next days. In the meantime could you check if you are able to download Avaya Calling app from MS Teams? If not are you able to check when it was removed from available apps?
