Check the following steps to get the USB sound bar working:
- Verify physical connections
- Make sure the USB cable is firmly plugged into a USB port on the PC and into the correct USB port on the sound bar (not a service-only or power-only port).
- If possible, try a different USB cable and a different USB port on the PC.
- Set the sound bar as the default audio device
- Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Output, select the USB sound bar from the list of devices. Selecting it sets it as the default output device.
- Turn up the volume in Windows and in any app being used, then adjust volume on the sound bar.
- Check that Windows detects the device
- If the USB sound bar does not appear under Output devices:
- Open Device Manager and look under Sound, video and game controllers or Audio inputs and outputs for the USB audio device.
- If it shows with a warning icon or as an unknown device, update or reinstall its driver using the device manufacturer’s installer or Windows Update.
- If the USB sound bar does not appear under Output devices:
- If audio still does not play
- Try disconnecting other USB audio devices temporarily and test only the sound bar.
- If the device has its own driver package, install that first, then reconnect the sound bar so Windows can bind to the correct driver.
If the sound bar supports Bluetooth as well, it can also be paired wirelessly and then selected as the default output device from Settings > System > Sound.
