    Hello Mauricio Mena,

I understand that you are having issue with unrecognized charge. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you further.

    1. Check your subscriptions

    Go here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

    Look for anything around $17.95/month

If you see it > click Manage

    1. Stop the charge

    Click Turn off recurring billing

    Confirm cancellation

    This stops future payments immediately

    1. If you DO NOT see the subscription

    This is very important:

You may be signed into the wrong Microsoft account

    Try logging in with:

    • Old email addresses
    • Family member accounts
    • Any secondary accounts

(Most cases like this happen because the subscription is under another account)

    1. If still not found, please contact support for the best assistance:

Once you’ve tried the steps above, you can also reach out directly to the Microsoft Support team. It may offer live chat and, depending on your subscription/region, an option to request a callback:

    • Go to https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
    • Search for "Refund Microsoft 365 subscription" in the search box.
    • Click "Get Help", then scroll to the bottom and select "Contact Support”.
    • When prompted to select Products & Services, select Billing> Subscriptions> Charged unexpectedly / Refund
    • Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser". Once connect, explain your situation clearly.

Please note that the chat support team only works during certain working hours. Therefore, if the last window indicates that you are unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.

Please understand that this is a user‑to‑user support forum. Moderators, contributors, and external Microsoft staff cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back‑end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas. Still, I will do my best to assist you with everything I can.

To refund and check for refund eligible you can refer to this website, follow the steps instruction:

The most likely cause is a recurring Microsoft subscription (such as Xbox Game Pass or another Microsoft service) that has recurring billing enabled on a payment method.

Take these steps to identify and stop the charge:

    1. Investigate the charge
      • Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate for the unrecognized charge: Manage your payments.
      • This tool helps determine whether the charge is for a Microsoft subscription, in-app purchase, or another Microsoft service.
      • For more detail, see How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
    2. Check for subscriptions on all Microsoft accounts
      • Sign in at Subscriptions: https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      • Check each Microsoft account that might be using the same card to see if there is an Xbox or other subscription with recurring billing turned on.
      • If a subscription is found that should not be active, turn off recurring billing and cancel it.
    3. If the subscription is not on any of your accounts
      • Follow the guidance in How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft to confirm whether someone else (for example, a family member) used the card.
      • If the charge is truly unauthorized and linked to another person’s account, contact Microsoft Support using the steps in the context Q&A (billing support) and provide card details, dates, and amounts so they can locate and cancel the subscription.
      • If Microsoft and the investigation tools cannot locate the charge on any of your accounts, contact the bank or card issuer to report the charge as unauthorized, request a chargeback, and, if needed, block the card and issue a new one.
    4. Prevent future unauthorized purchases
      • Remove any stored payment methods that should not be used from the Microsoft account (via the Payment options section of the account dashboard).
      • Strengthen account security (change password, enable two-step verification) if there is any concern the account might be compromised.

If the charge is for a Microsoft subscription that was recently canceled, note that cancellations must be more than 2 days before the billing date; otherwise, one more charge may occur. In that case, check the subscription end date on the Subscriptions page and, if appropriate, review How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
