Autopatch Device Registration group not found

Hi

Recently, after configuring Autopatch, I noticed that the Autopatch Device Registration group was not present. However, I found the following groups

As per Microsoft document above rings (test,first,fast,board) default group , How to register device on default autopatch group

I was believe I just watched your youtube video... the step by step guide on configuring Autopatch.

I have just enabled Autopatch within my tenant. I have the same groups as you.

I believe Microsoft have removed that group now and it registers devices via the group you use when assigning them to your rings.

An Autopatch group is a logical container or unit that groups several Microsoft Entra groups, and software update policies. For more information, see Windows Autopatch groups. When you create an Autopatch group or edit an Autopatch group to add or remove deployment rings, the device-based Microsoft Entra groups you use when setting up your deployment rings, are scanned to see if devices need to be registered with the Windows Autopatch service. If devices aren't registered, Autopatch groups start the device registration process by using your existing device-based Microsoft Entra groups.

I believe the autopatch system has changed.

You do not need to add devices anymore in to that group anymore, the devices will become registered when you use the groups you have assigned within you autpatch group.
