    Hi,

To better help you and guide you to the right solution, could you please check and confirm the following details?

    1. Are you using a Microsoft 365 subscription, or do you have a one time purchase version such as Microsoft Office 2024?
    2. Please go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Can you confirm if your license or subscription appears there and is listed as active?

    1. Also, are you using a Windows device or a Mac?

In the meantime, please follow the AI-suggested steps to repair your Office application. If the issue persists, please provide answers to the questions above so we can continue troubleshooting.

Run a full Online Repair of the Office/Microsoft 365 installation, as the built‑in “repair now” prompt is often not sufficient.

    On Windows 10 or 11:

    1. Right‑click the Start button.
    2. Select Apps and Features (or Installed apps in Windows 11).
    3. Find the Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 product, select it, then choose Modify.
    4. In the How would you like to repair your Office Programs window, select Online Repair and then Repair. This performs a more thorough repair than Quick Repair.
    5. Follow the on‑screen instructions and let the repair complete, then try opening Word/Excel/Outlook again.

    On Windows 8/8.1:

    1. Right‑click the Start button and select Control Panel.
    2. Under Programs, select Uninstall a program.
    3. Right‑click the Microsoft Office product and select Change.
    4. For Click‑to‑Run installations, choose Online Repair > Repair. For MSI‑based installs, choose Repair and then Continue.
    5. Complete the wizard and test the apps again.

If the error persists after an Online Repair, completely uninstall Office from Apps & Features/Programs and Features, restart the computer (not just shut down), then reinstall Office from the associated Microsoft account or organization portal.
