I’m really sorry you’re experiencing issue with your Type Cover, especially when it's been happening for a long time. Since your purchase was at the end of 2024, the first step is to check whether they’re still under Microsoft’s limited artware warranty (as it's usually only one year).

- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/select-device-for-repair > Sign in
- If you see your device, select and click Start a service order.
- If you don't see it, you need to Register it first.
- Follow the prompts to report the issue and create the service request.
- Microsoft will guide you through shipping for repair or may offer a replacement.
If your device is out of warranty, Microsoft may still offer out‑of‑warranty service options for an additional cost. You can see these options on the same warranty/service page.
