Have deployed aad-joined avd. Getting below error. Any help to fix this issue?

got the error " Sign in failed. Please check your username and password and try again."

installed rdp using the tutorial : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/tutorial-create-connect-personal-desktop?tabs=windows-client

the one difference I did was in Networking: I allowed all inboud netwrok traffic from hhtp, https, rdp, ssh

added property in host pool: targetisaadjoined , enablerdsaadauth

user is root in vm

using webclient on chrome

Please help ..

About the posted error, "Sign in failed. Please check your username and password and try again", double-check your role assignments. If your session hosts' virtual machine(s) is "Microsoft Entra ID joined", ensure that you have assigned the following two roles at the Resource Group level: 1. "Virtual Machine User Login" - assign this to the AVD users (or Users' group) 2. "Virtual Machine Administrator Login" - assign this to the AVD admins (or Admins' group)

Also, ensure your desktop application group is associated with the two personas (users & admins groups). Something I noticed is that MFA conditional access (CA) policy does not affect the AVD sign-in. At least in my case.

Actually I forgot to update on my final answer to this: If the AVD session host is Azure AD DS joined and you have the targetisaadjoined:i:1. property set then this is what actually causes the issue, If the AVD session host is just Azure AD joined then the property must be configured, but if the session host is Custom AD DS or Azure AD DS joined and you use this setting then you get the problems I described. Hope it helps someone else spend less then 3 days working it out. The Doco is confusing to with all the acronyms AZAD., AZADDS. give me strength. :-)
