Access to Developer Program

Hi

When trying to access the Developer Program I am receiving an error message of:

"MS-Correlation Id: <Remove PII>

Code: 41101"

My account and password is fine as I can access my organisation tenant without any issue.

After researching the issues, the suggestion was to request a profile reset via this forum.

If my profile cannot be reset, is it possible to rejoin the program?

Many thanks.

    Hi @Stuart Andrews (MLCSU)

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Based on the information you provided, I understand you are encountering Code: 41101 when trying to access the Developer Program dashboard, even though your credentials work fine for your organizational tenant. You are looking for a profile reset or a way to rejoin the program.

First, I would like to clarify that I am a community moderator. I do not have access to the backend tools or specific systems used by the Microsoft 365 Developer Program team. Therefore, I cannot manually reset your profile. However, I can guide you toward the correct path based on this specific error code.

-Could you please check if you can access the dashboard using an Incognito/Private browser window? Sometimes browser caching can cause authentication loops.

-Have you received any emails recently regarding the expiration or deletion of your previous developer subscription? If your previous subscription expired or was deleted, the system typically requires 60 to 90 days to fully clear the old profile data. During this period, you cannot use the same account to rejoin.

If you need a sandbox environment immediately and cannot wait for the data retention period to clear: The most effective workaround is to use a completely new Microsoft account and new details (such as a different phone number) to register for the program from scratch.

You can refer to the following documentation to ensure your new account and activities meet the current requirements for the E5 Developer Program:

I hope this helps clarify the situation and gets you back to developing quickly.

If you are receiving an error message with the code "41101" while trying to access the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, it may indicate an issue with your account or profile. Since you mentioned that your account and password are fine for accessing your organization’s tenant, the next steps would typically involve troubleshooting your Developer Program account specifically.

Regarding your question about rejoining the program if your profile cannot be reset, you can indeed rejoin the Microsoft 365 Developer Program. However, it is important to ensure that you are using a supported email account to sign in, as certain accounts (like those with the *.onmicrosoft.com domain) are not supported for joining the program.

If you continue to face issues, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance in resolving the error or for guidance on rejoining the program.
