Our commitment to ethical advertising practices includes the protection of endangered and threatened species, as well as the welfare of all animals. Consequently, Microsoft does not accept advertising campaigns related to the following:

  • Endangered and Threatened Species: Advertising that promotes the trading or sale of products, services, or parts derived from endangered or threatened species. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Elephant ivory
    • Leopard, tiger, or lion hide/skin
    • Rhino horns
    • Shark fins
    • Whale or dolphin hunting trips
    • Pangolin scales
    • Sea turtle shells
    • Exotic birds and their feathers
    • Primates
  • Live Animals: Advertising for the in-person or online sale and/or shipment of live animals, regardless of their conservation status.

  • Hunting Trophies and Products: Advertising for items obtained from hunting wild animals, typically for sport rather than for food.
