We provide these policies to help your ads meet approval and protect consumers and businesses from being victimized. Advertisers must ensure their ads are fair, clear, and not misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent.

Advertisers promoting financial products or services must comply with all applicable local laws and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring that any aggregated content for third-party partners or linked content also adhere to these policies.

  • Advertisers must meet all regulatory requirements and comply with all applicable laws in each targeted location.
  • Where required by law, ads and landing pages must clearly disclose any associated risks or costs.
  • Ads must not target users based on income.
  • Ads must not encourage wreckless financial behavior.
  • Ads must not be misleading or use tactics solely aimed at driving conversions.
  • Special offers must include a clear disclosure of terms and conditions, either directly in the ad or via a prominent link on the landing page.
  • Landing pages must provide content related to the advertised offer.
  • Call to action must reflect the action taken after clicking on the ad.
  • Any account-related fees (e.g., brokerage, management, trade commissions) must be clearly disclosed in the ad or on the landing page.
  • Ads must not imply or promise guaranteed success.

Disallowed financial products and services

Advertising is not permitted for the following products and services:

  • Non-regulated binary options (regulated options may be allowed with review).
  • Financial products or services intended to facilitate illegal activities, such as tax evasion or money laundering.
  • Get-rich-quick, Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or other questionable business models that rely on recruitment or undefined value propositions.
  • Employment or income opportunities that require upfront payment.
  • Services that guarantee financial returns or foreclosure prevention.
  • Ads for specific investments including stocks, bonds, commodities, mutual funds, IPOs, or investment tips.
  • Penny auctions (bidding fee auctions).
  • Penny stock promotions.

Cryptocurrency exchanges may be eligible to advertise in Search, subject to pre-approval in the markets listed under country restrictions. Advertisers must meet specific criteria. Please review the program requirements below and complete the Cryptocurrency Advertising Program Participation Form to be considered.

NFT (non-fungible token) services that are part of an exchange offering may be allowed.

Program requirements:

  • Advertisers must comply with all regulations and licensing requirements for the specific locations where their ads will be served. This includes, but is not limited to, disclaimers, risk warnings, or labeling requirements.
  • If there are regulations or licensing requirements that an advertiser does not meet for a location such as a specific state, the advertiser must exclude that location from their targeting.
  • Advertisers must be the first party brand owner. Affiliate advertisers are not allowed.
  • If promotions are mentioned in the ad, the advertiser must disclose any terms and conditions related to the offer on the landing page.
  • In markets where the products being offered or traded are deemed a security, advertisers must comply with all regulatory and disclaimer requirements related to securities.
  • Advertisers must clearly disclose the risks of investing in virtual currencies in either the ad or the landing page and must not represent such investments as safe or risk- free.
  • Advertisers must use a unique Manager Account (CID) for cryptocurrency-related ads.
  • Advertisers must not include misleading visuals, such as the use of government seals or imagery to imply official endorsement.

If disallowed content or content mixed with non-cryptocurrency content is loaded to the account, permission to serve cryptocurrency related ads may be revoked.

Disallowed cryptocurrency products or services:

  • All other cryptocurrency-related products and services including, but not limited to, initial coin offerings.
  • Cryptocurrency investment-training programs /plans.
  • Decentralized exchanges and decentralized finance (DeFi companies).

Market-specific restrictions

In addition to the global requirements outlined above, ads must adhere to specific market-level restrictions to serve in that market. If a country is not listed below, advertising for cryptocurrency-related content is not permitted in that country.
