Microsoft recognizes the diversity of religious beliefs across cultures and communities. To support a respectful and inclusive advertising experience, Microsoft prohibits religious content that is divisive, exploitative, or inflammatory.
Advertising cannot exploit sensitive religious issues for commercial gain or promote extreme religious agendas or any known associations with hate, criminal or terrorist activities.
Advertising may not insult any religion or utilize religious symbols or motifs in a way that is likely to be considered disrespectful or in poor taste.
Display/native/audience
- Ads may not promote religious beliefs or ideologies in a persuasive or doctrinal manner, including positioning any one faith as superior, objectively true, or necessary for salvation.
- Ads may not attempt to convert or change a user's religious beliefs, including through emotional appeals, spiritual incentives, or threats.
- Ads for religious texts or products must be presented in a neutral, informational manner and cannot include persuasive messaging.
