    Dear Nathan

    1. the new worksheet on desktop as suggested by you also have same issue. it is open only up to Ready status cannot load fully ( Grey out field) as mentioned in my screen shot
    2. Add ins are already unchecked as same was told earlier in one of provided solutions

    So no sign of solution yet.

    Hi,

    In File Explorer (Ctrl+E) write "%appdata%" and go throw Microsoft>Excel>XLSTART

    then delete all of the files in the XLSTART folder.

    it will work.

    None of them worked. Feeling frustrated each time while opening any excel file. Each time I have to open one blank file and keep it minimise then only I can open another excel file of my choice.

    Hi Kamal,

    You may check if this issue happens on all of your workbooks or only this particular workbook. If only this workbook has the issue, you may try the following steps to fix the issue:

    1. Go to File > Save As > select a folder on your PC;
    2. Enter a new name > switch Excel Workbook to Web Page > Save;
    3. Open the Web Page file and copy the contents to a new workbook.

    If the issue happens to all of your workbooks, as we cannot reproduce the same issue on our side with the latest version of the Excel application, please go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now, and see if this issue would be fixed by updating the Excel application to the latest version.

    If updating to the latest version doesn't work, you may also try repairing the application by the following steps:

    1. Search Settings in the search box on your taskbar > click to open it;
    2. Click on Office 365 > Modify > Yes > Online Repair.

    Please let us know if there is any update.

    Best Regards,

    Nathan
