I have the domain provider as WIX and moved the domain to Microsoft 365, in this process my google workspace business email ******@xxxxxxx.com was supposed to be moved to M365.

Now when I open Outlook.com i can sign in with M365 and it has my emails and shared mail box etc, the problem comes when i try to add to Outlook app, it automatically pulls google email address every time, i have deleted all profiles but still when i try to create and add a new email to it, it shows google only. Checked that on windows my Microsoft email is also added to work email.

Where is the miss??? due to this when i sign on iphone on outlook it pulls google email address automatically.

Going round and round only, is it due to the MX vales on WIX only or some settings which I missed to be removed

, overall i am not able to add to outlook app and Iphone Outlook app as well

    Hi @RaGau

Thank you for posting your question in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the information you shared, I understand that your domain is hosted with WIX and has been moved to Microsoft 365, and your Google Workspace business email was expected to migrate to M365. While Outlook on the web works correctly and shows your emails and shared mailboxes, when you try to add the account to the Outlook desktop app or the Outlook app on iPhone, it automatically detects and pulls the Google account instead.

Based on my research and experience, this issue is most commonly caused by DNS Autodiscover records or leftover Google Workspace DNS records that were not fully removed during the migration. Even if you have already removed Google’s MX records, Google Workspace typically leaves additional DNS records behind. Outlook relies heavily on Autodiscover, and if even one Google-related record still exists, Outlook will be redirected to Google automatically.

I recommend checking the following DNS records with your domain provider (WIX):

-Review and remove any Google-related records. Look for records such as:autodiscover (CNAME or SRV), mail (CNAME), any CNAME or TXT records pointing to google.com, googlemail.com, or ghs.google.com

If any of these still point to Google, Outlook will always detect the account as a Google mailbox.

-Verify Microsoft 365 Autodiscover records: Ensure that Autodiscover is correctly configured for Microsoft 365 and not overridden by an old Google record.

-Stop Google Workspace synchronization: During migration, there is a required step to stop synchronization with Gmail / Google Workspace. Please reffer the following document:

Migrate Google Workspace mailboxes to Microsoft 365 or Office 365

After correcting DNS records, allow sufficient time for DNS changes to propagate before testing again.

Please check the instructions here: Connect your DNS records at Wix to Microsoft 365

I hope this information helps point you in the right direction.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the setup of your Microsoft 365 account after migrating from Google Workspace. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Verify Domain and MX Records: Ensure that your MX records are correctly set up in your WIX domain provider settings. If the MX records are still pointing to Google, emails may still be routed there, causing Outlook to pull the Google account instead of the Microsoft 365 account. You can check your MX records by following the instructions provided by Microsoft for adding DNS records to connect your domain.
    2. Remove Google Account from Outlook: Since you've already deleted profiles, ensure that there are no remnants of the Google account in your Outlook settings. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings, and check if the Google account is still listed. If it is, remove it.
    3. Add Microsoft 365 Account: After ensuring that the Google account is removed, try adding your Microsoft 365 account again. Make sure to use the correct email address and password.
    4. Check App Passwords: If you are using two-step verification for your Microsoft 365 account, ensure that you are using an app password for Outlook. This may be necessary for the app to connect properly.
    5. Outlook App on iPhone: For the iPhone Outlook app, ensure that you are signing in with your Microsoft 365 account. If it still defaults to the Google account, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Outlook app to reset its settings.
    6. Sync Issues: If you continue to have sync issues, consider checking the Microsoft 365 admin center for any alerts or notifications regarding your account setup.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it may be beneficial to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
