This is a widely reported scam on Discord where they ask you for a code to join their server, that code gave them full access to your account and they immediately change the recovery details like the associated Email to block you from accessing the account.

I wish I had better news, but when a Microsoft account is hacked, if the hackers change the associated Email, then that account is usually no longer recoverable, this forum is just a user to user account and no-one here has any account access, try using the process they provide on this link to recover a hacked account, if this process is not successful, sadly, that account cannot be recovered.

Follow these steps immediately to try to recover the hacked Microsoft account and secure everything else:

    1. Clean all devices used for the account
      • On each Windows 10/11 PC used with this account, run a full antivirus scan before changing any passwords.
      • If no third‑party antivirus is installed, use Windows Defender:
        • Select Start and search for Windows Defender or open it from the link in the article.
        • Make sure it’s updated and run a full scan.
    2. Use Microsoft’s official hacked‑account recovery flow
      • Go to the official guide: How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account and start the sign‑in helper: Start.
      • Enter the email or phone that was on the account before it was changed.
      • The helper will either:
        • Offer self‑service recovery (reset password / verify identity), or
        • Offer a way to contact an agent.
    3. If sign‑in fails because the email was changed
      • On the sign‑in page, choose Forgot my password.
      • When asked why, select I think someone else is using my Microsoft account and follow the recovery steps described under Notify us if you don't recognize activity on your account.
      • If the system says the account doesn’t exist or you can’t proceed, use the Sign‑in Helper again from Open the Sign-in Helper for support options or hacked account issues.
    4. After regaining access, secure the account
      1. Change the password
      • From the Security basics page, choose Change password and set a strong, unique password.
      1. Check for unusual sign‑ins
      • In Security basics, select Review activity and check the Recent activity page.
      • For any sign‑in that is not recognized:
        • If it’s under Unusual activity, expand it and select This wasn’t me.
        • If it’s under Recent activity, expand it and select Secure your account.
      1. Fix Outlook / email settings
      • Follow Step 3: Check your account settings from the hacked‑account article:
        • Review connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies using the links in the article.
        • Remove any unknown forwarding addresses or rules.
      1. Add extra security
      • On Advanced security options, add another way to sign in or verify (phone or alternate email) using Add a new way to sign in or verify.
      • Make sure all security info (phone numbers, backup emails) is current.
    5. If the Outlook.com mailbox is blocked
      • If Outlook.com says the account is blocked due to unusual activity, use the Sign-in Helper from the Unblock my Outlook.com account article to unblock it.
      • If unblocking fails, follow the guidance under If you can't unblock your account and use the link to When you can't sign in to your Microsoft account for further recovery steps.
    6. Protect other accounts and devices
      • Any other accounts that used the same password (Discord, game accounts, etc.) should have their passwords changed immediately.
      • Enable two‑step verification / MFA wherever possible.

If recovery via the official Microsoft processes fails (for example, if all security info was replaced and the system cannot verify ownership), there is no alternate manual bypass; only the automated recovery and Sign‑in Helper flows can restore access.
