Proof of taking a Microsoft certification exam is normally available through the Microsoft Learn profile and the exam provider, rather than only by email.
Use these options:
- Check for the exam appointment and result
- Go to the Learn profile exam/credentials page: https://learn.microsoft.com/users/me/credentials/?tab=credentials-tab
- Verify that the exam appointment and result appear there. A passed exam will later show under Certifications/Achievements and can be shared with institutions.
- Use the score report or certification record
- After most exams, results are available within minutes and within 24 hours in the Learn profile’s Certifications tab.
- The score report and, if passed, the certification/badge in the Learn profile are the official proof schools typically accept.
- If proof or certificate is missing
- If the exam result or certificate does not appear, or if an older certificate needs to be resent, open a ticket with Microsoft Credentials Support so they can verify the record and help provide official proof:
- Go to https://aka.ms/credentialssupport
- Sign in, complete the profile, then reopen the link and submit a ticket under Product Family: Learning, Service: Microsoft Credential.
- If the exam result or certificate does not appear, or if an older certificate needs to be resent, open a ticket with Microsoft Credentials Support so they can verify the record and help provide official proof:
For school credit or recognition, many institutions require a verifiable link to the official Microsoft transcript rather than an email attachment. The transcript link from Microsoft Learn is considered the official proof.
