My PC's Bluetooth has not been working from the beginning. Therefore, I cannot connect my mouse and codeless earphones. How can I set it correctly?

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out, and I appreciate your patience.

Please note that this is a public forum, I will be responding you in short period of time and regret for a delay in response. As I am merely a fellow user trying to provide insight and information that may be helpful to others.

To better understand the issue, may I ask:

Have you tried connecting other Bluetooth devices aside from your mouse and wireless earphones to help isolate the problem?

What is the make and model of your device?

You can check your system details by typing MSINFO32 in the search bar and pressing Enter. A screenshot of that window would be very helpful.

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

    Run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter

Go to Start Menu > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters

Select Bluetooth, then click Run the troubleshooter

    Reinstall the Bluetooth Driver

Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager

    Expand the Bluetooth section

Right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device

Check Delete the driver software for this device (if available)

Restart your computer and test Bluetooth again

Follow these steps in order on the Windows 11 PC to get Bluetooth working and connect the mouse and wireless earphones:

    1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on
      1. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
      2. Turn Bluetooth on. If there is a physical Bluetooth switch on the laptop/PC body, make sure it is switched on as well.
    2. Verify the mouse and earphones are ready to pair
      1. Charge both devices fully or insert fresh batteries.
      2. Turn each device off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
      3. Put each device into pairing mode (often by holding a button until a light flashes). Keep them close to the PC.
    3. Remove and re-add the Bluetooth devices (if they appear but won’t connect)
      1. Select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
      2. Under Audio, Mouse, keyboard, & pen, or Other devices, select the mouse or earphones.
      3. Select Remove device.
      4. Select Add Bluetooth or other device.
      5. Choose Bluetooth, then select the mouse or earphones when they appear and complete pairing.
    4. Restart Bluetooth
      1. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices (or Devices > Bluetooth & other devices depending on view).
      2. Turn Bluetooth off and wait 10 seconds.
      3. Turn Bluetooth on again.
      4. Try pairing the mouse and earphones again.
    5. Check for Windows updates
      1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update (or Update & Security > Windows Update).
      2. Select Check for updates and install all available updates.
      3. Restart the PC if prompted, then test Bluetooth again.
    6. Restart the PC
      1. Select Start > Power > Restart.
      2. After restart, confirm Bluetooth is on and try pairing again.
    7. If Bluetooth still does not appear or work
      1. Run the Windows Bluetooth troubleshooter in the Get Help app if available: it will automatically run diagnostics and attempt to fix most Bluetooth problems.
      2. If the devices still do not show up, open Device Manager, enable View > Show hidden devices, and check for any Bluetooth devices with a warning icon; remove old or problematic Bluetooth drivers, then repeat the pairing steps.

These steps cover the common causes: Bluetooth being off, devices not in pairing mode or out of range, low battery, temporary Bluetooth radio/service issues, and missing or outdated updates.
