subscription cancellation and refund

To cancel the subscription and request a refund for the recent charge, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used to purchase the subscription.
2. Find the Microsoft 365 or other Microsoft subscription (the “ISO subscription”) that was recently charged and select Manage.
   • If Turn on recurring billing is shown instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not be charged again.
3. On the next page, select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on the subscription type).
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete cancellation.

Refund eligibility:

• For most Microsoft subscriptions, cancellation must occur before the end of the current term; not all cancellations result in a refund.
• In certain countries (Canada, Denmark, France, Israel, Korea, Turkey, and some others for renewed annual terms), cancelling can entitle to a prorated refund. See the prorated refund policy for details.
• For Copilot Pro, in Canada, Denmark, France, Israel, Korea, Turkey and related territories, cancelling at any time provides a prorated refund; in all other countries, cancelling within 14 days of initial purchase is required for a prorated refund.

If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, contact their customer support to cancel and request a refund instead of using the Microsoft account site.

If there are still unexpected charges after cancellation, check the subscription end date and ensure the correct Microsoft account is used. If a charge is not recognized, investigate it from the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard using the guidance in the refund and billing-charge investigation articles.
