Good day!

I am paying for two Microsoft Accounts. I would like to only pay for one. I need to find out who/what email addresses are associated with both accounts and possibly cancel one of the accounts.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Use the subscriptions pages for each Microsoft account to see what is being paid for, then cancel the unneeded subscription while keeping the accounts themselves if desired.

    1. Identify both Microsoft accounts
      • Sign out of all Microsoft services in the browser.
      • Go to https://account.live.com and sign in with the first email address that might be used (for example, a Gmail or Outlook/Hotmail/Live address).
      • Note the email shown under Your info and any aliases listed under Manage how you sign in. This shows which email addresses are associated with that Microsoft account.
      • Sign out, then repeat with the second email address.
    2. Check which account has the active Microsoft 365 subscription
      • While signed in to each account at https://account.live.com, go to Subscriptions.
      • For the account that should be kept, leave the subscription active.
      • For the other account, select the subscription, choose Manage, and then follow the steps to cancel it. Canceling the subscription does not delete the Microsoft account; it only stops future billing.
    3. (Optional) Free an email address and reuse it on the main account
      • If one account uses an email address that should be moved to the main account, first close the unneeded Microsoft account after canceling its subscription and ensuring there is no important data or purchases tied to it.
      • Then, on the main account, go to Manage how you sign in and add that email as an alias, or set it as the primary alias if desired. Note that data, purchases, and subscriptions from the closed account cannot be transferred.
    4. If double billing or confusion remains
      • If there are still two active charges and it is unclear which account they belong to, contact Microsoft Billing Support so an agent can securely review billing details and help cancel the extra subscription.
