    Hi @Satnam Singh (Admin)

I hope you're doing well today.

Based on the information you shared that you would like to add the Zoom add in in both New Outlook and Classic Outlook within your enterprise environment.

In a Microsoft 365 enterprise environment, Outlook add ins can either be installed directly by users, if store access is available, or deployed centrally by administrators through the Microsoft 365 admin center. In addition, when users move from Classic Outlook to New Outlook, Microsoft supports web add ins in New Outlook, and Microsoft also identifies Zoom Outlook Plugin in Classic Outlook with its corresponding web add in, Zoom for Outlook Extension, for the new experience.   With that in mind, please find the most suitable option below based on your situation.

Option 1: Add Zoom in New Outlook for Windows

This option is appropriate if users are allowed to install Outlook add ins from the store.

    • Open New Outlook, then select Home > More apps and choose Add apps.

    User's image

    • In the Apps page, search for Zoom for Outlook.

    User's image

    • Select the add in, review the details, and then choose Add/ Open.
    • Next, open Calendar and create a New Event. Then select the Zoom add in from the ribbon or Apps menu.
    • Sign in with your Zoom account, or use SSO if this is enabled by your organization, and the Zoom meeting details will be added to the invitation.
    • Reference: Use add-ins in Outlook - Microsoft Support

Option 2: Add Zoom in Classic Outlook for Windows

This option is suitable if the user is still working in Classic Outlook and add ins are available for the account. Microsoft confirms that add ins can be installed and managed in Classic Outlook, although the path may vary slightly depending on the version.

    • Open Classic Outlook. From the ribbon, select Home > All Apps or Get Add ins.

    User's image

    • If the add in options are not visible, select File > Manage Add ins to review whether add ins are enabled.

    • Search for Zoom for Outlook or Zoom for Outlook Extension.
    • Select the add in and choose Add.
    • After that, restart Outlook if necessary, then open Calendar and create a new meeting to confirm that the Zoom add in is available.

Option 3: Deploy Zoom centrally for users through Microsoft 365 Admin Center

If your environment is managed by organization, please contact your IT administrator to review your permissions and policies, this is the recommended enterprise method because it allows the add in to be assigned to specific users, groups, or the entire organization. Microsoft also recommends using the Integrated apps portal for centralized deployment.

    • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with an account that has the required admin permissions.
    • Go to Settings > Integrated apps > Add ins, then select Deploy Add in.
    • Choose the option to add the app from Microsoft Marketplace, then search for Zoom for Outlook.
    • Assign the add in to Specific users, Specific groups, or Everyone, depending on your rollout plan.

    • Complete the deployment and ask users to restart Outlook. Please note that Microsoft advises that a new deployment can take up to 24 hours to appear for all users.

If the Zoom add in is still not visible, it would be helpful to confirm that the affected users have an Exchange Online mailbox, that Outlook add ins are allowed for the tenant, and that the required user roles for marketplace or custom apps are available where applicable. Microsoft also notes that add in availability and migration behavior can depend on policy settings in Exchange Online.

Moreover, if the issue persists after these checks, ask your IT administrator to submit a support request directly to Microsoft Support team.

In an enterprise environment, Outlook add-ins such as Zoom are typically installed either by each user from the Store or centrally by IT. The Zoom COM add-in used in classic Outlook has a web add-in counterpart called “Zoom for Outlook Extension” for both classic and new Outlook.

Below are the supported, high-level steps based on the available information. Screenshots are not available in the provided material.

    1. Install Zoom for Outlook in new Outlook for Windows (user-level)

    1. In new Outlook, go to the ribbon or navigation bar and select More apps > Add apps.
    2. On the Apps page, use the search box to search for Zoom.
    3. In the results, select Zoom for Outlook Extension.
    4. Review the details and privacy information, then select Add to install.

After installation, the Zoom add-in will appear in the message or calendar compose surface where it is designed to work.

    2. Install Zoom for Outlook in classic Outlook for Windows (user-level)

    1. Open classic Outlook.
    2. On the ribbon, select Home > All Apps (or Get Add-ins on older builds).
    3. In the Apps or Add-Ins for Outlook dialog, search for Zoom.
    4. Select Zoom for Outlook Extension from the results.
    5. Review the details and select Add to install.

If All Apps or Get Add-ins is not visible, add-ins may be disabled by the administrator.

    3. Enterprise/IT considerations

    • In enterprise environments, IT admins can deploy the Zoom web add-in (Zoom for Outlook Extension) centrally via Microsoft 365 admin tools so it appears automatically for users.
    • When users move from classic Outlook to new Outlook for Windows, the COM-based Zoom Outlook Plugin has a web add-in counterpart:
      • COM add-in: Zoom Outlook Plugin
      • Web add-in: Zoom for Outlook Extension
    • By default, when switching to new Outlook, users are offered web add-in counterparts of existing COM add-ins where available. For Zoom, this is the Zoom for Outlook Extension.

If the Zoom add-in does not appear in the Store or cannot be added, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365/Exchange administrator to:

    • Confirm that Outlook add-ins are allowed for the tenant.
    • Confirm that the Zoom for Outlook Extension is not blocked and, if needed, deploy it centrally.

    4. Removing or managing the Zoom add-in in new Outlook

If removal or reinstallation is needed in new Outlook:

    1. Go to More apps > Add apps.
    2. Select Manage your apps.
    3. Find the Zoom app, select More options > Remove.
    4. Re-add it from the Store as described above if needed.
