How can I ensure that the video quality of my Teams meetings is consistently at 4K resolution when using the Logitech Meetup video bar, which I purchased from SourceIT **link removed**? Specifically, what settings, hardware requirements, and network configurations should I check and optimize to achieve and maintain this high-quality video standard? Additionally, are there any software or firmware updates for the Logitech Meetup that I should be aware of to support 4K resolution? Furthermore, since I have multiple offices across the region, including one in Singapore, does Teams offer a solution to manage the hardware in all our branch offices centrally?

    Hello Daniel**,**

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft community.

To ensure consistent 4K video quality in your Microsoft Teams meetings, there are a few initial things to consider:

First, Remove the cached credentials in Credentials Manager (Set-Up from new):

    • Select Start, then Windows System, then open the Control Panel and select Credential Manager.
    • Under the Windows Credentials tab, locate the account that you want to remove (Teams Credential) and then select Remove.

Clear the Teams cache for Windows: Clear Teams cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn.

Many users mentioned, using and testing the OBS Studio streaming application in Teams, it gave them better video regulation.

To use OBS Studio as the camera in Microsoft Teams, follow these steps:

    • Install and set up OBS Studio on your computer.
    • In OBS Studio, enable the "OBS Virtual Camera" plugin. This will create a virtual camera that can be used as an input in other applications like Microsoft Teams.
    • In Microsoft Teams, go to the settings and select the "OBS Virtual Camera" as your camera. This will allow you to use the video output from OBS Studio as your camera feed in Microsoft Teams meetings.
    • You can now use all the features of OBS Studio, such as capturing your screen, webcam, or other media sources, and have that show up as your video feed in Microsoft Teams.

Additionally, you can use virtual audio cables to route audio from OBS Studio into Microsoft Teams as well, allowing you to have full control over your audio and video in the meeting.

By using OBS Studio as the camera in Microsoft Teams, you gain more flexibility and control over your video and audio compared to the default camera and microphone options. This allows you to create professional-looking video presentations and live streams within your Microsoft Teams meetings.

Software and Firmware Updates: Check for any available software or firmware updates for the Logitech MeetUp to ensure you have the latest features and performance improvements. The latest firmware version can be downloaded from the Logitech support site and installed according to the provided instructions.

Regarding the Logitech Meetup video bar, you may have to contact with provider (www.logitech.com/meetup) that the devices are 4k supported or not or for any queries regarding the device.

According to my limited research for the 3rd party service provider, the 4K resolution information for Logitech Meetup video bar:

    • The USB 2.0 cable included with MeetUp supports FullHD video (up to 1080p).
    • If you plan on using 4k video, please use a USB 3.0 cable.
    • You might also need Upgrade Logitech 4K firmware.

Teams offers two options for broadcasting Teams meeting content:

    1. Network Device Interface (NewTek NDI®) and
    2. Serial Digital Interface (SDI).
    • NewTek NDI® is a modern solution for connecting multiple media devices, such as studio cameras and mixers, without physical connections. Instead, NDI® technology enables connectivity over a local intranet, including on a local machine. This technology is a widely adopted industry standard for producing live content for streams, with significant awareness and adoption in the professional broadcast world.
    • SDI, known for its reliable long-distance transmission, is a widely used technology for sending video through cables. It's a goto choice in professional broadcasting because it carries uncompressed, high-quality video along with audio and other data. Hardware devices from AJA Video Systems and Blackmagic Design provide connectivity to legacy broadcast devices that use SDI.

NDI® and SDI technology is supported in all locales.

As an admin, you can allow your users to use NDI® and SDI for broadcast production in their meetings. For the most secure solution, don't enable this policy as a global setting.

To enable these settings through Admin Center or PowerShell, please follow this MS article: Allow broadcast production in Teams meetings with NDI and SDI hardware - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn.

    Additionally,

For your last question, it's possible to manage Teams rooms centrally. You have to configure Teams room from the center tenant/office and users from different office can book the room and do meeting.

For managing your MeetUp devices across multiple branch offices, including the one in Singapore, you may want to consider a centralized device management solution. WyreStorm offers Sygma Cloud Device Management, which provides firmware updates, configuration management, and online support for your video conferencing devices.

Centralized Hardware Management: Microsoft Teams offers a solution called Teams Rooms that can help you manage your video conferencing hardware across multiple offices, including the one in Singapore. This allows you to centrally configure and monitor the devices, ensuring consistent performance and quality.

Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management: A modern meeting room is equipped with a Microsoft Teams Rooms device and other peripherals such as a camera, microphone, or speaker, and potentially more devices to create an inclusive and effective meeting experience. Equipment from different kinds of OEMs provides the exact organizational experience desired; however, they must be maintained with software and firmware on an ongoing basis.

Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Management provides the assurance that each room in your organization is maintained to deliver a Teams Room that is always ready.

Additionally, Microsoft Teams offers a hybrid workforce solution that could help you centrally manage your MeetUp devices across different locations. Teams' integration with devices like the MeetUp and support for remote management features may provide a streamlined way to maintain and update your video conferencing hardware.
