My Microsoft teams goes offline after unlocking my system. Tried changes in Power settings and Changes in Teams setting still facing an issue. Whenever I lock and unlock my system Microsoft team goes offline from Available.

  • Logged out of Teams and logged back in
  • Restarted Microsoft services I saw in services.msc
  • Uninstalled/reinstalled Teams
  • Disconnected and reconnected from my wi-fi
  • I had recently changed my password so I cleared out my Microsoft credentials saved in my Credentials manager just to be safe
  • Another reboot

    Dear Uddhav,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft community.

I can understand your Microsoft Teams goes ''offline'' from available after unlocking my system.

I totally understand the inconveniences this may have caused you and I am willing to assist.

I have also seen that You have gone several troubles shooting steps to resolve this issue.

Firstly, May I know If you are using Teams for Personal or Business? Does this also happen on other PC or just this the PC you are currently using?

Please note that whenever your computer is on sleep mode, it is normal that your teams will detect that you're offline. In this case, you'll have to make sure that your computer does not automatically go to sleep mode when locked or idle.

To adjust your sleep settings, go to Start and select Settings > System > Power & Sleep. Under “Sleep,” set it to "Never" if you want to stay online.

Additionally, please make sure that your background application for Teams is enabled. To do that, Go to your Team's ''Settings'' ''General'' make sure "open Application in Background" is enabled.

Please do not hesitate to contact me If you need further assistance.

    Best wishes,
