Microsoft Multi-factor Authentication not working with Remote Desktop in Microsoft Windows 2010

We have configured MFA for our users in our organization tenant in MS Office. We are login Microsoft Windows using our Azure AD login (work or school account) from our office local PCs. In the daily routine, we need to remote our office other machines as well using our own Azure AD login. Now, the thing is, without configuring MFA, we can successfully do a remote of other machines. But after configuring MFA, it is being stopped and below message we are getting.

Could anybody help me to resolve this?

When configuring MFA for your local PCs, are you doing this through Conditional Access Polices within Azure AD, or are you enabling MFA through the Per-User MFA settings?

Thank you for asking this question on the **Microsoft Q&A Platform. **

Microsoft Office 2010 doesn't support Modern Authentication

For those Legacy applications, you must enable the app password for your users (Enforce Azure AD Multi-Factor Authentication with legacy applications using app passwords).

Then, your users must follow these steps --> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/manage-app-passwords-for-two-step-verification-d6dc8c6d-4bf7-4851-ad95-6d07799387e9

But the thing is, will this App password works for Windows RDP? and is this the only solution?

Also, in my tenant I cannot see an option to generate App password.
Could you please guide? how to enable the option to generate App Password?

To have the option for App Password, the user must enable the MFA, after that they can set App password

Actually, The MFA is already configured and I can see other options. Please see below image. Only the option App Passwords I cannot see.

Sorry, but I think there is some gap here. I am saying, we already have the setting Enforced Azure AD Multi-Factor Authentication with legacy applications using app passwords enabled in our organization. Although, I am not able to configure App password.

In most infrastructures, when you follow the steps I shared in the previous answers, it is enough to achieve the configuration.

If you are not achieving the expected result after following the steps I shared with you, it may be that there is some additional configuration in your infrastructure that prevents the expected result.
