Microsoft Learn's 'Username' and 'Display name' keep changing

Question

Each time I try to change the 'Username' from a generated number to an actual name it keeps changing back to the previous (or entirely different) generated number user name.
I managed to change it to a number of my choice and this worked.

Regarding 'Display name' each time I change it to an actual name, after a short while it changes back to the generated number of the 'Username' resulting in my display name always being a number.

Is there any fix for that?

I'm having the exact same problem, even though my request to change the legal name has been done according to the email they sent. My AI exam is after a week, and I don't know if that's going to cause any trouble for me. I really hope it doesn't.

I am currently experiencing the same problem. After I passed the AZ-104 exam, I wanted to print the certificate in PDF format. First I unchecked "Show legal name" so that it doesn't appear twice on the certificate since my Display name is same as the legal name.

Then I noticed some weirdness in the certificate during printing, so I tried to print it from another browser (including private browsing). And I think that was the moment when both the Display name and the Username changed to random numbers by themselves.

I also noticed that for my Microsoft Answers account, the last name appears twice next to the profile picture, although it does not appear twice in the account itself. Strange. :D

I tried to change both the Display name and the Username back to the actual name from several browsers, from several computers and from several IP addresses, but it always reverts to random numbers after a few minutes.
