Microsoft Learn's 'Username' and 'Display name' keep changing

Each time I try to change the 'Username' from a generated number to an actual name it keeps changing back to the previous (or entirely different) generated number user name.
I managed to change it to a number of my choice and this worked.

Regarding 'Display name' each time I change it to an actual name, after a short while it changes back to the generated number of the 'Username' resulting in my display name always being a number.

Is there any fix for that?

    I also have same issue. any response from Microsoft? seems a wide issue that impacting the certificate display name.

    Same issue here unfortunately. It seems to be taking the display name from the URL- after I updated my URL it also changed the name on the cert and on the MS profile. However, you obviously can't add spaces there nor capitalize any letters, so it looks bad.
