    No Team, community.

Beside the licensing both Editions are completely equal in feature set. see Editions and supported features of SQL Server 2019 (15.x)
=> " It includes all the functionality of Enterprise edition, but is licensed for use as a development and test system, not as a production server."

    Hi @ARVIND S

As Olaf already stated, this is a (mainly) community-driven forum. Most of the supporters are regular people like you and me... some people here are official supporters from the Customer Experience Team from Microsoft and are lovely and knowledgeable people... if you want to discuss any topic further than here, then please call the Microsoft support and/or open a support case.

    Regarding your question
Also, as Olaf stated, there is no technical difference between those two editions => in easy words, one edition is for developing applications/services and running test workloads, and the other has the same features and is allowed to run productive workloads!

If you still have any questions feel free to ask in this thread or open another question with all the details you can provide on that question.

Any impact from the client side / Application perspective if the developer edition is used in the Non Prod environments.

    No difference.

Any features missing unavailable in developer edition compared with enterprise edition.

Yes. Developer Edition is limited to a single Distributed Reply client. However, this will not impact normal development and testing since the feature is used only for replaying workloads from captured traces and not often used. The feature is not included with the SQL Server 2022.

If The application connectivity to the SQL database(Dev edition) is Public IP and it is facing the internet. Then there is any impact? If yes, what is the impact.

Exposing a database server to the public internet is a significant security risk regardless of Edition and should be avoided when possible. Extra measures (hardening security at all levels, client IP whitelisting, non-standard port, strong passwords, etc) should be employed.
