ADK and WinPE 10.1.22621.1 breaking boot image creation

It seems the latest ADK and WinPE are breaking environments that are integrated with MDT. I have updated the ADK and WinPE from 10.1.22000.1 to 10.1.22621.1 and can no longer create a x64 boot image using MDT:

Hi, many thanks for the response. Yes, we have already tried creating the folder as suggested by the error, after doing so the error disappears but the components are still missing.

    MicrosoftTeams-image

We are not currently interested in the 32-bit version, this is happening when trying to create a 64-bit version.

Obviously we want deploy windows 11 22H2 and following the guidance as suggested in the the article you referred to:

Choose the right ADK for your scenario

If possible, use the ADK version that matches the Windows version you're working with. If your environment has a mix of Windows versions, use the ADK version that matches the latest operating system in your environment.

It is also worth noting that putting back ADK and WinPE 10.1.22000.1 resolves the issues. This implies that we will never be able to use anything newer than this version in a ConfigMgr integrated with MDT environment.

    Hi @Sumner, Ann,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

This error is due to WinPE 10.1.2261.1 version. The version does not support 32-bit versions of WinPE. So, it can't find file in ...\Windows Preinstallation Environment\x86. Here is the reference link:

It seems that someone has already solved it. Here is the link:

Can confirm this issue. Only installing Windows 10 and 11 x64 but after 10.1.22621.1 installations fail.
