I have an Office 365 Family account that I have been using for my remote work as I am a Freelancer. I work for a company that gave me another email address to use when I do contract work for them. I connected that email in my outlook which created another personal account, but when I originally signed into the account in GoDaddy, I think I labeled it as a work or school account. Now I have 2 accounts with the same email. The work account says I cannot leave the organization and it is not connected to my desktop apps but I think it conflicts with the personal account that is linked to Windows. I have been working in Sharepoint with this company and have had problems opening documents in the app as they only open as read-only. I also have problems saving back to the Sharepoint drive using explorer, although I can upload when I am in Sharepoint.
Is there a way I can connect the work account to work with my apps? I tried to delete that account but there is no remove button in the Windows account, and in the Microsoft account it says I can't leave the organization, but the only organization listed is my email address, or is there a way to re-label it as a personal account so that it will work with my office 365 apps?

    Hi @Lisa Wimbley ,

According to your situation, the possibility of account conflicts causing problems cannot be ruled out. I am an engineer who focuses on solving sharepoint-related problems. Please let me help you troubleshoot the problem from the sharepoint level. Could you try the following and tell me the result?

1.Check office desktop account Is it a work mailbox?

2.Check what permissions your open as read-only account has at the sharepoint file level? Users with Read permission can only open as read-only.

3.Please refer to the following documents to rule out whether these settings have made SharePoint files only open as read-only.
